What is Fifty-Four Days about?
When tragedy strikes, a spirited young woman turns to wild swimming in search of answers. By swimming each day at dawn and forming an unlikely friendship, she learns to accept her grief and the grief of those around her.
Written by Cat White, produced by Ella Greenwood and directed by Phoebe Torrance, Fifty-Four Days is a Kusini Productions and Broken Flames Productions film.
It explores mental health, race, sisterhood, grief and wild swimming as a form of healing. It disrupts the narrative that says Black people don’t swim. Just watch us.
